Pamplona to Puente de Reina, Part Dos…

Well, it seems that not all the photos Glenn took yesterday made it through the ethernet, cloud, or whatever. A bunch showed up in the photo library this morning. So this post is an attempt to fix this. He remarked how beautiful the fields were with a few red poppies poking their heads up here and there.

Sunrise leaving the city.
If you squint, you can see the wind turbines along the ridge of the hills.
Lots of switchbacks up and over them this morning.

NO that is not Glenn! This sculpture installation is on the Alto de Perdon, or the Mount of Forgiveness.

It has an interesting history that you can read about here.

You can see about 40 wind turbines in the distance.

So, I think we are caught up for now. He’s in Estella for tonight and tomorrow night. He said a wonderful small hotel with a very friendly, helpful host.

A needed day of rest. Posting photos of his walk from Puente de Reina to Estella tomorrow as well. Rest well, Glenn!

  1. We’re really enjoying sharing your journey… and quite convinced we won’t ever try it ourselves!
